|
This EHNS Academy Course (Segment 1: Oropharynx & Larynx) takes place from August 31 to September 2, 2026, at the Ferrero Foundation in Alba, Italy. It will deliver a comparative analysis of the radiological, surgical, and pathological anatomy of head and neck malignancies using 3D visualization to enhance diagnostic accuracy and optimize therapeutic strategies. The program includes 3D-broadcasted anatomical dissections, virtual surgical planning snapshots, transoral robotic surgery, and open neck approaches.
Clinical Benefits & Patient Impact. This program is highly beneficial for surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and oncologists specializing in head and neck oncology. By evaluating complex diagnostic and therapeutic "gray zones" through multidisciplinary case discussions, specialists can drastically refine diagnostic work-ups and support shared clinical decision-making. Therefore, patients will directly benefit from these advanced, new competencies. The objective of this course is to promote the adoption of minimally invasive surgical and non-surgical approaches to reduce treatment-related mortality while maintaining oncological efficacy, thereby preserving the patient's quality of life after treatment. |
