Laura Peferoen, MD, PhD, is a pathologist specialized in head-and-neck and oral pathology at the Department of Pathology of Amsterdam University Medical Center. Central to her work is the belief that accurate diagnosis is only as strong as the collaboration behind it: she combines diagnostic pathology with translational research, working closely with clinical colleagues to translate pathological findings into the best possible care for each patient.

Her research interests center on the tumor biology of head and neck cancer, with a particular focus on oral (potentially) malignant disorders and salivary gland pathology.
