Imaging-derived Extranodal Extension (iENE)
in Head and Neck Oncology

Online Webinar - January 16th, 2027
08h50 - 18h30

Extranodal extension (ENE) is a major prognostic factor in head and neck cancers, influencing staging, treatment selection, and clinical outcomes. As imaging-detected ENE (iENE) becomes increasingly important in pre-treatment assessment, consistent interpretation of radiological data is essential. However, terminology, grading systems, and clinical practices still vary across institutions.
Designed for surgeons, radiologists, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, pathologists, and physicians in training, this webinar will address current evidence, diagnostic challenges, and the prognostic implications of ENE. Lectures, clinical case discussions, interactive polls, and multidisciplinary debates will explore how iENE can better guide treatment planning within multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings. The program will also discuss future perspectives, including artificial intelligence, biomarker integration, and the potential role of immunotherapy in advanced-stage disease.
Save the date and join the international community of head and neck cancer care specialists to exchange expertise, strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration, and advance a shared understanding of iENE assessment and its role in personalized treatment decisions.
