On behalf of the European Head and Neck Society (EHNS) and the IAG-KHT (Head and Neck Cancer Working Group) of the German Cancer Society we cordially invite you to the upcoming 6th International EHNS HPV Symposium, taking place in Leipzig on November 5–6, 2026. This event also serves as the autumn symposium for the IAG-KHT.
This workshop, covering all aspects of HPV-related head and neck cancer, has been held biennially since 2014, rotating between Amsterdam, Poznań, and Leipzig. This year marks a significant and somber moment for the field, as we mourn the unexpected passing of Prof. Maura Gillison, who died on June 21 at the age of 61. Maura attended the 2nd HPV Meeting in Leipzig in 2016 and, more than anyone else, established a new global standard for addressing HPV in head and neck tumors. Further details at "Cancerletter".
The topic is more relevant than ever, since association of oropharyngeal cancer with HPV16 is strongly increasing all over Europe and North America (program attached; further information available online). We invite you to join us in Leipzig this November to hear updates from leading international scientists in the field and to share your own valuable, current research (abstract submission details below).
