After graduating as an MD in 2016, I became a PhD-student at the Head and Neck Cancer Biology & Immunology lab of the Department of Otolaryngology / Head & Neck Surgery at Amsterdam UMC. I participated in a large international EU consortium to develop decision tools to improve personalized treatment of advanced staged head and neck cancer. Since 2026, I am a fellow head and neck surgery at the department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, University of Ghent, Belgium.
