 It is with great pleasure that I introduce you to this special event of th
 e newborn EHNS Academy: the “OPHLs from A to Z”\, the first European cours
 e entirely dedicated to open partial surgery of the larynx.<br />In the la
 test few years laryngeal surgery has known an important growth\, especiall
 y in open partial laryngectomy. In this extremely precise surgery\, every 
 minimal surgical and technical detail impacts on oncological and functiona
 l outcome.<br />Our experience\, and the relative rarity of this type of d
 isease\, persuaded us that partial laryngeal surgery needs to be learnt al
 so by means of a specific course\, entirely dedicated to the practical/pro
 pedeutic steps of OPHLs.<br />Great emphasis will be given to relive surge
 ry and the cadaveric dissection carried out by skill surgeons and projecte
 d in 3D on big screen\, which will allow the participant to better underst
 and the advantages and disadvantages of each surgical procedure\, focusing
  on the pathway of spreading of laryngeal cancer.<br />Courses will take p
