How to get to Poznań



Poznan is placed in the centre of Europe, with good transport accessibility. Poznan can be approached:


1. By plane
The Poznan Henryk Wieniawski airport (6 km from the city centre) has regular connections a lot of European Cities.

2. By car
Poznan is located at the crossroads of important international routes:
E-30 Berlin-Warsaw-Moscow and
E-261 - Gdansk-Wroclaw-Prague.
There are 67 border car checkpoints available in Poland: 18 on the western, 32 on the southern and 17 on the eastern border.

A2 motorway: You can get to Poznań driving A2 motorway (access from the west direction: from Nowy Tomyśl - 108 km from Świecko, where national route no. 2 is connected with the motorway to Warsaw - a charge is payable for using it; access from the east direction: from Konin, Modła road junction), national routes no. 92, 5 (east - west direction) and no. 11 (north - south).

3. By train

Poznan has direct train connections with major European cities, such as Berlin, Kiev, Moscow, Brno. The trip from Berlin to Poznan takes only three hours and it will be shortened to 2 hours till 2012. There are also many convenient connections with Hamburg, Cologne, Prague, Bratislava, Vienna, Budapest, Vilnius.
